Today, Sir John questioned the government on what further action the UK can take to protect Ukraine from what further action the UK can take to stop dual-use technology, such as washing machine microcircuits found in Russian missiles fired on Kyiv, being used to kill more people in Ukraine.
He contributed to a House of Commons statement on UK action against the Russian Shadow Fleet, welcoming the Government’s response while raising concerns about continued support for Russia’s war effort. He highlights this use of dual-use technology from third countries in Russian weapons and asks what further steps can be taken to prevent these components being used in attacks on Ukraine. The debate also addresses sanctions enforcement, international cooperation and efforts to restrict the resources supporting Russia’s military activities.
