Sir John and his team of caseworkers assist constituents by contacting local authorities, government departments and relevant organisations on their behalf to raise issues.
Legal matters, court decisions or private disputes; financial or legal advice; and most local planning decisions, which sit with the local planning authority. MPs also do not control local council decisions, although issues can be raised with the Council.
When contacting John, include your full address. If writing on behalf of someone else, written consent will be required for GDPR purposes. If requesting assistance with a case, include any relevant reference numbers.
Local councillors are often best placed to assist with issues such as school places or waste collection.
