How John can help

Sir John and his team of caseworkers assist constituents by contacting local authorities, government departments and relevant organisations on their behalf to raise issues.

What an MP cannot assist with

Legal matters, court decisions or private disputes; financial or legal advice; and most local planning decisions, which sit with the local planning authority. MPs also do not control local council decisions, although issues can be raised with the Council.

Please note

When contacting John, include your full address. If writing on behalf of someone else, written consent will be required for GDPR purposes. If requesting assistance with a case, include any relevant reference numbers.

Who else can help?

Local councillors are often best placed to assist with issues such as school places or waste collection.

Citizens Advice provides free and impartial guidance on benefits, housing, debt and employment. The Maldon and District branch can be contacted on 01621 875774.

Advice surgeries

John continues to hold advice surgeries and encourages constituents to attend if they would like to raise an issue.

To book, call 01621 855663 or email office@maldonconservatives.org.

Members of Parliament can only assist their own constituents. You can check if Sir John is your MP using the Find Your MP page on the UK Parliament website.
