Sir John recently welcomed pupils from five primary schools in his constituency who have been taking part in the Sir David Amess Children’s Parliament UK.
The pupils, elected by their respective schools, travelled to London to take part in a debate in Parliament and meet children from other schools participating in the initiative.
During their visit, Sir John gave some of the pupils a tour of Westminster Hall and answered their questions about Parliament and democracy.
The visit provided an opportunity for the young representatives from local schools to experience Parliament and learn more about how democratic processes work.
Sir John welcomed the opportunity to meet the pupils and hear their questions as they took part in the Sir David Amess Children’s Parliament UK.
