Sir John Whittingdale MP recently welcomed journalists and members of the team behind The Kyiv Independent to Parliament for a tour and a discussion about their experiences reporting on Russia’s war in Ukraine.
The visit provided an opportunity to hear about the team’s work covering Russia’s full-scale invasion and its impact on Ukraine.
Sir John recognises the importance of the publication’s reporting in helping audiences understand the realities of the war, alongside the wider political, economic and social challenges facing Ukraine.
