Sir John Whittingdale MP organised a visit to Maldon by Kate Nicholls, Chair of UKHospitality, to hear directly from local hospitality businesses about the challenges facing the sector.
The meeting was hosted by Cllr James Burrell-Cook, Town Mayor, at the Queen Victoria pub, where representatives from a wide cross-section of Maldon’s hospitality businesses shared their experiences and concerns.
Following the discussion, Sir John reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the voices of local businesses are heard in Westminster. He said he would continue to press the new Prime Minister for urgent action on the issues affecting the hospitality sector.
The visit provided an opportunity for local businesses to speak directly with UKHospitality and highlight the challenges they face, while reinforcing Sir John’s ongoing commitment to representing businesses across the Maldon constituency.
