Dogs’ Welfare

A number of constituents have contacted me about the issue of dogs’ welfare.

I truly appreciate your dedication to improving dog welfare and understand the concerns surrounding the current legislative and enforcement gaps that affect the wellbeing of our canine companions.

I wholeheartedly agree that dogs play a vital role in our lives and the necessity of ensuring their health and welfare needs to be safeguarded. While I had planned to attend the Blue Cross drop-in event on November 13th to learn more about their recommendations, I unfortunately could not be there as I was supervising the US election, an unavoidable commitment.

Please rest assured that I remain interested in the proposals set out in the manifesto and will review them carefully. I am committed to supporting initiatives that enhance animal welfare and will continue to advocate for effective and balanced measures in Parliament.
