John Whittingdale was one of the judges for the Young People’s Art Competition in Maldon. John had to judge entries in four age categories: Under 7s, 7-10, 11-13 and 14-16. The winners will be announced on 16th September at Maldon Library.
John said: “The theme for this year’s competition was Maldon events and the standard was remarkably high. Entries covered the Maldon Regatta, the Mud race, the Carnival, the Barge Race, Saltmarsh 75 and Maldon in Bloom. It was very hard to pick the winners and I would like to congratulate all those on taking part”.
