Sir John Whittingdale was honoured to swear his oath of allegiance for the ninth time to the monarch as Parliament returns following the General Election.
Although saddened that the Conservatives have not been returned to power, Sir John will do his utmost over the coming Parliamentary Term to hold the new Labour Government to account and stand up for the people of Maldon on the issues he knows are most dear to them.
