John Whittingdale MP was delighted to join Jhual Ahmed, proprietor of Maldon Spice, and Sami Barlan, Proprietor of Sark, to celebrate the success of their fund-raising event to raise money for flood relief in Bangladesh. The two restaurants came together to offer a special meal at Sark on Sunday 17th July with the proceeds going to help flood victims.

It is fantastic that thanks to the generosity of Jhual and Sami, as well as the residents of Maldon, this initiative has raised over £6,000 for the victims of the terrible flooding in Bangladesh and I warmly congratulate all concerned.
