Planting a tree for HM the Queen’s Jubilee

John Whittingdale MP was delighted to join in with others in planting an Oak tree at St Mary’s Church in Burnham on Crouch to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee today. The trees planted in our constituency will form part of the Queen’s Green Canopy across the whole of the UK ???

John was joined by Reverend Suzie Fryer, and Andy Slater from The Limes Farm Shop who donated the tree.

Other trees were planted by children from St Mary’s CoE Primary School, Burnham Primary School, and Ormiston Rivers Academy, as well as representatives of the Town Council, Maldon District Council, the RNLI, The Royal British Legion, the Rotary Club and Probus.
