James successfully applied to attend the 3 day programme during which attendees meet the Speaker and Lords Speaker, and attend briefings to gain a greater understanding of how Parliament works. Following the programme, the teachers will go back to develop their students\u2019 and colleagues\u2019 knowledge of UK Parliament and democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>John said:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI was delighted to learn that James has become a UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador and to welcome him to Westminster. I have always been very keen to ensure that our young people understand the importance of democracy and how Parliament works.
