Since its launch in July 2000, it has so far supported around 8,000 community sports projects worth \u00a3920 million.\u00a0 The award of \u00a35,000 over a three year period will go towards developing new youth football teams. <\/font><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt\"><font color=\"#000000\">These will be part of the development programme which this Charter Standard Club has formed to fill a niche for young players in the local area of South Woodham Ferrers to have a place to come and meet new friends and develop their sporting abilities.\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt\"><font color=\"#000000\">John Whittingdale is pictured with\u00a0 Paul Walker, Club Chairman, and Lana Gillard from the Essex County FA as well as the Under 9 team.<\/font><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John Whittingdale presented a cheque for \u00a35,000 from the Football Foundation to Woodham Radars FC.\u00a0 Funded by the Premier League, the FA and the Government via Sport England, the Football Foundation is the nation&#8217;s largest sports charity.
